Cheesy Ham and Potato Soup


 
 

 Ingredients:

32 – 48 oz Low Sodium Vegetable Broth
1 – 10.5 oz Cream of Potato Soup
1 – 8 oz block of Cream Cheese
2 Pkgs of Goya Ham Seasoning
1/2 tsp White or Black Pepper
1 – 28 oz Bag of O’Brien Potato’s
3 Cups of Diced Ham
4 Cups of White Vermont Cheddar Cheese
1 Scallion

Directions:
Set crock pot on high and add Vegetable Broth.
Next add Cream of Potato Soup to broth and mix well
Cube block of Cream Cheese and add to crock pot and mix well 
Add Goya Ham Seasoning to crock pot and then add White or Black Pepper.  Next pour in 1-28oz bag of frozen Bag of O’Brien Potato’s.  Add Diced ham then add 3 cups of  White Vermont Cheddar Cheese. Cook soup on high for approx 3 to 4 hours or until potatoes are to your liking of tenderness. When soup is finished top with more White Vermont Cheddar Cheese and Scallions.

  • Your ham and cheese and potato recipe reminds me of one of my favorite soups from home that we make in Jamaica. They are similar, but the base for the Jamaican soup is a ham bone ( chunks of ham can be added).
